The Difference one Massage Session can make

This first video shows Bella before I did her very first massage. You can tell that when I ask her to canter, she is not pleased. She tosses her head, and shows some resistance to wanting to canter. When she does get in the canter, she has a bunny hopping motion in her hind end. She can’t get comfortable in the canter and switches leads a couple of times. Her head is also high and tense.

The second video is after one massage session. In the second video, her head is more relaxed and you can see her be a little more comfortable in the canter. While it is not perfect, she will continue to progress and improve with more sessions. She had been off work coming back from lameness issues for about 6 months. This can show that horses who are on rest also get sore.

It does take 3-5 Session for your horse to show real progress.
